livinglarge: There has been many high profile cases in England ,of women being accused of murdering their children.

Sally Clark being one of them,

she was a lawyer and she was imprisioned for the death of 2 of her kids (or 3) .

Finaly she gained her freedom and went on the help other innocent women .

Sadly she passed away a few years after her release,
it was reported she drank herself in2 an early grave , due to being hartbroken not only about her childens deaths, but what was metted out to her by the justice system.

Her story IMO is just hartbreaking

I agree ... and how could any cash settlement be enough to compensate someone in this situation for all they have lost?

dazzling_dave: I would think that it would depend on whether or not there was any malice involved.

Well for example, the most recent case I heard about, a mother was convicted and served 12 yrs in prison for murdering her teenage daughter. She was completely exonerated and set free with only an "Oops" from the people who put her there.

So often I hear on the news how people are wrongly imprisoned.

When these people are cleared and released, who should be held accountable for their injustice?

Should it be the accuser, the jury, the judge, the attorney, all of them ... or should nothing be done?

Mr F, you are not totally alone ... you have all of us!

I have spent many holidays alone. My family lives in Florida, my son goes to his Dads and I work in the hospitality industry so working holidays is the norm, even on Christmas.

Maybe I'm just conditioned to it but I don't seem to feel lonely. When I get home from work, I welcome the peace and quiet.

druidess6308: I used to be a realtor. They're really good, but make sure of your closing costs. You can put quite a few on the seller, which is beneficial to a 1st-time homebuyer...but then, they have to be willing to pay them.

Very good loan program.

Thanks druidess, it was actually my realtor that told me about this means of more affordable home ownership initially.

I don't think it would make any difference who was chosen for that position, people just feel the need to complain condemn and criticize.

I personally think she's one hot ticket and McCain could have done alot worse.

Whether she's ready to be a VP or President is in question but complaining about it and putting her down isn't going to change that. I do believe she has just as good a chance of filling either office successfully as Obama does.

Excellent joke!

Seriously though, men really get that much pleasure out of seeing cold weather results?

It's rather difficult situation to avoid and I never really gave much thought that I was turning men on each time I got a chill.

In my last attempt at love, the things my partner did not like about me included:

Sleeping (I went to bed too early)

Showering (I prefer a morning shower, he prefers nighttime)

Driving (he would ask me to drive and then backseat drive the entire time)

Personal Hygiene choices (I like a dab of perfume, he wanted to be able to smell me coming 10 mins before I got there.)

Parenting skills (He thought I should order my son to live by my standards-My son is 27. I felt he was old enough to live by his own standards.)

I could go on but I won't bore you. At some point I realized, I was changing "me" little by little for someone else.

So one day I asked him, "Is there anything about me that you DO like?" His reply was after 1 second, "Your cute"!

So I believe Dan is right, if you fall in love with someone why try and change them?

I think my profile says hospitality under occupation.

For me it means I manage the front desk of a hotel. Not always an easy job because whenever you hear "are you the manager" it generally means they are looking to complain and want compensation.
