dcj22: Em just said she's going to add Whiskey Lullaby to the music list. My sis-in-law used to be a song writer for Alan Jackson.

Dana, tell Em that one CANNOT go wrong with Brad & Allison! applause

dcj22: I love that song. Em used to play it all the time.

Ah...my honorary Granddaughter Em! How very perfect that she would enjoy that song! (Takes after her g'ma, don't you think?) LOL!

What an old soul, "our" Em. Old souls have a difficult route, and I pray she has God speed!

dcj22: Ozzy Osborne -------------- Mama I'm Coming Home
Adam gave this song to his mom today. Don't ask how, you wouldn't believe me if I told you. However, it's sweet and a blessing.

As a recipient of blessings, myself, I am humbled that Adam would show his countenance in a thread I started, Dana! conversing And, yes, girlfriend, I would INDEED believe it!!

Hope you and Em are doing well in this distressful time. angel

The_Kansan: Best of luck to you.

I met the wonderful lady who become my wife right here on CS two years ago today, so I know for a fact it's possible.

BTW, I deliver in Mosheim every now and then, either at East Tennessee Forest Products or Appalachian Forest Products. Maybe we'll have to grab a cup of coffee sometime? ...Don...

So sorry to hear of your heartbreak! comfort Keep the faith! Because, yes indeed, it IS possible to meet one's soulmate here on CS, as my hubby said! Be careful, check EVERYTHING, and--for best results--"let go and let God"(JMHO).

-Proud to be "Mrs. Kansan" teddy bear

P.S. Suggest a more positive outlook!! "On the block" sounds too, well, MORTAL!!! laugh

In response to: Hi all. I'm new. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.

Q? Is this site totally free? I registered for two other dating sites and both times I tried to send messages I was told I had to pay for silver or gold memberships. F that. Is this place 100% free or do I have to pay to upgrade?

A big Welcome to Connecting Singles! to the fun! laugh CS is indeed completey free. I've been on here for about 2 years and there has never been a charge. Best of all, though, I found my husband, my soulmate, through CS!! I was wary of scammers, and checked out what others had written in the forums to get a feel for it here first, though!

Best of luck to you. Let us know if we can help!

In response to: You can probably relate to this

A man kills a deer and takes it home to cook for dinner.
Both he and his wife decide that they won't tell the kids
what kind of meat it is, but will give them a clue and let
them guess.

The kids were eager to know what the meat was on their plates
and begged their dad for the
clue.
Smiling broadly and arching one eyebrow, he said, 'It's what
mommy calls me sometimes.

The little girl screams to her brother,
"Don't eat it, it's an asshole".

Damnit, Pat, Don isn't here to enjoy this good one!

In response to: The Supreme Court ruled last week that there cannot be a Nativity scene in Washington, D.C. this Christmas.

This is not for any religious or constitutional reason; they simply have been unable to find three wise men and a virgin in the nation's capitol.

There was no difficulty, however, filling the stable with asses.

Evening, Bob! Good to see ya! applause Hope you are doing okay and that things are going well with you & yours.
Stay safe on Christmas Day, you hear? teddy bear

Dana, you know that prayers and good thoughts for healing are with you and Em and Adam's family. For those who cannot understand this, feck 'em if they can't deal. (I believe in karma, and one day they, too, will understand and there will be mercy when their hour is near!!)

Those of us on CS who care were moved by you sharing Adam's story with us. Personally, I feel blessed to have "known" Adam even if only virtually. And the strength that his mother has shown is humbling!

Prayers and good thoughts for you and Em and Adam's family will continue!

Take care of yourself,

-Jteddy bear
