| | Flaws and all, simply perfect love Posted: Jun 12, 2008, 9:25 PM CST |
Scottishlass wrote:I don't want perfection, I am way less than perfect.
The only thing I suppose I strive to do my best at is maybe loving...so many push hard to not love.
It's never about a being in love thing, if that comes then it is good but,for me, it is about the good days and the bad, the way you get through them, the effort you make to lift one another up....even when solitude is the thing...a quiet soft kiss to the forhead and then drifting back into the nothingness of being outside their sanctuary.
When those moments go so numbingly slow, but then you see their smile when you feel your own....and even with all the little less than pefect ways, less than perfect responses....that smile is still there, smiling deep in gentle confidence and being just fine with less than perfect........and then there it is, the simplicity of deep love.
Are you looking for perfect?
Nope, never (ever) looked for "perfect," just "perfect-for-me" criteria! (And, as you know, found it!!! )

| | Things I've learned from horror movies....... Posted: Jun 12, 2008, 7:31 PM CST |
Good ones, Anne! Have been laughing aloud at these; the dogs are way confused!
Regarding number 14 ("Beware of strangers bearing tools. For example: chainsaws, staple guns, hedge trimmers, electric carving knives, combines, lawnmowers, butane torches, soldering irons, band saws, or any devices made from deceased companions"), does this apply only to strangers? We're replacing the flooring in one room and Don will be using more than one of these devices over the weekend. Should I be afraid?

Certainly not Kansan ( i know you don't mean him) that man is a diamond!..
like you!.. well.. you are a womany diamond.
Yup, I DO mean the Kansan!! But, I'll readily agree that he is a diamond, even if "in the rough!!"
So, I am a "womany 'diamond,' heh? For sure, I am a "pearl," as far as "diamond," I'm not sure?!
Best to ya, Claayer!! How's your youngest today??

| | At Last I met him.................!! Posted: Jun 8, 2008, 4:57 PM CST |
Irishminx wrote:Yes THE love of my life, here on CS!Thank you CS for having your site, otherwise I would not have met the man I have waited for and searched for, for a very, very long time!
I joined this site on the 27th April 2008 and on the 2nd May 2008, I saw this guys profile and what intrigued me, was that he said he did "Swing dancing", (now I love to dance), so I emailed him and asked him, What is Swing dancing?
He sent me a link, so I had a look, then thanked him..............
Very quickly, he wrote that he thought, we had a lot in common................
I wasn't sure if we did, but what I really liked about this man, was that he was different, you know from most men you meet. This man was up front and honest and his requests were clear and direct.
Very quickly, I felt in my bones that this man was very special. He has a very beautiful heart.
We are dating and I can honestly say, he is THE love of my life. You know what's sooooo good about us, he feels exactly the same about me and he express'es it so eloquently...........
Keep the faith folks..........Hold onto your dreams, they do come true! Good luck to you all and thanks a million,
IrishMinx
Minx,
Congratulations!! I also think CS is awesome, and meant to exist for very specific purposes.
As my hubby (Kansan) mentioned earlier, we met here and believe that we were created just for one another! He, too, has "a beautiful heart" and is the "love of my life." Hell, he IS my life!!
I'm so glad that you feel CS is, indeed, the place to be for singles! I think it is our "responsbility" to let others know, don't you??
Again, congrats! And, best to you and your CS guy for the present and for the future!!
-Jackson
