kidatheart: It's even more simple, get rid of the ultra greedy that are the real problem. There's enough to go around, if they can afford it. The current system is designed to make money, not feed, house, clothe or keep people healthy.
Rampant consumerism is a problem, but not as big as the issue of corprations charging what the market will bear. They have a better idea of what we make and where we spend it than we do, and guaranteed they'll try to soak every last dime out of you until you're dead, then soak your family to bury you.
