tropikalkween: i dont think anything should be done. hey for real these hook up sites are fairytale land and if i wanna be superwoman, catwoman or wonderwoman i can be them. this isn't real. this is cyberspace. i mean i'm speaking for all those people who want to come out of the normal stresses of day to day life and be someone else. hats off to them. as for me i prefer to be real but i'm not hating on anyone who creates and alterego online.
This is a dating site. it is true, that one does not have to use it for that purpose. Many of us are simply here to relax and unwind on the forums. There is a distinct difference between making joking/lighthearted comments, and outright deceit through adopting so-called alter egos.
I understand there are plenty of other sites where people can play make believe, don avatars, etc. While some people having some interesting 'costumes' in their pics, we have enough trouble with scammers around here as it is. More flagrant and deliberate deceit is not welcomed by members here. So I personally do not support the idea of encouraging this behaviour.
THIS SECTION OF CYBERSPACE PRESUMES REAL PEOPLE ARE INTERACTING.
