Since I am one of the lassies of Lancashire, and one of the instigators of this poll, I feel duty bound to point out to other members whilst discussing this matter with my learned colleague (don't swap hot pot recipes) of the amount of abusive threads over the past few months, some of which have been highly offensive, trish and I have often discussed the mentality and obviously determined attempts to offend. I had observed tonight the personal attacks on trish about non english speaking members, this was uncalled for as our original thread was "whats the best way to deal with abusive posters?" not one particular poster and she adhered to that the all way through the thread. Never once mentioning anyone's name, not to mention the tirade of certain members who is full of mind, the debate was up for grabs and the poll showed the response fully that abusive posters should be ignored, I feel truly sorry for trish having to take the brunt of accusations which I can assure you couldn't be further from truth, and I was not around to take some of the flak myself

...and unfortunately, there are always a few who know how most feel, but will defend his right to offend and abuse, their favourite cliche being that those are relative terms and it is "we" who are abusing that "person" as before...
