can you feel me still
floating on the edges
of your dreams?
A pulse added
to your heartbeat
as you miss me?
or am I gone,
last weeks fantasy
tattered now by time
and careless fingers,
adrift in shreds
seeking a new home,
new dream to cling to,
to fulfill, a mind to soothe
a heart to comfort, warm light
amid the ether frosted screens
all filled with words
looking for feelings
they are not open to.

Eventually most dreams fade.... but, as yet, the memory of my father is here every day guiding me in decisions I have to make for my mother's welfare. My mother said my father would be proud of me, but then she changed her mind and said he was already proud of me before he died...that was a nice thing for me to hear!

He died less than two months ago, but in some ways it seems like a long, long time ago and in other ways it seems he never died - life just goes on, as always, with incrememtal changes we hardly seem to notice. conversing grin

As for me, the only dreams that truly fade are those that never really had a base in reality. The others, no matter how insignificant are always there, floating just past the edges of my vision, seen but un-seeable, noticed, but intangible... Felt and remembered and embraced while remaining untouched and untouchable...

I like the "last weeks fantasy
tattered now by time" bit...... Sounds like the words someone
could use when they are giving a jaded cyberlover the elbow laugh or even a dated real life lover the push rolling on the floor laughing
